About Kelsey

Kelsey Ruwe is the Chief Human Resources Officer for Carson Group, a role that oversees recruiting, training and development, total rewards, human resources, community relations and corporate communications. In her 15-year tenure at Carson, Kelsey has been instrumental in hiring, training and educating more than 400 stakeholders.

If you’ve driven down the Dodge expressway in Omaha recently, you may have noticed Carson’s headquarters in the prior Boys Town west farm property. Under Kelsey’s leadership, Carson completed the $80 million-dollar, two-tower campus. Most recently, she oversaw the build out of two additional floors that were needed to seat over 150 stakeholders that were hired in 2022. She was responsible for overseeing the construction, design and development, as well as leading the building committee and input for our firm.

Kelsey leads Carson’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts and has spearheaded Carson’s partnerships with the AAAA Foundation and established the firm’s CODE membership through the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce.

Outside of Carson, Kelsey help to co-found and is on the board of the FinServ Foundation, a nonprofit that empowers the next generation of financial professionals through coaching, mentorship and community. The foundation partners with more than 15 historically black colleges and universities across the nation and forms cohorts for students looking to thrive in financial services.

Kelsey has been recognized for her leadership efforts, most recently by Young Nebraskans as their Leadership and Professional Development of the Year and graduated from the Greater Omaha Chamber’s 44th Leadership Class. In 2022, Kelsey was named one of InvestmentNews’ Women to Watch. She has also helped Carson earn numerous awards, including being one of the Best Places to Work in Omaha in 2021 and 2022.

She remains active in the Omaha community. Most notably, Kelsey is Past President of the Dreamweaver Foundation, which fulfills lifelong dreams for terminally ill seniors. She also facilitates many of Carson Group’s community partnerships and corporate giving local chapters of with Rock the Street, Wall Street, Partnership 4 Kids and the Boys and Girls Club of the Midlands and well as Carson Group’s ongoing partnerships with No Hungry Children and charity:water.

When not chasing her three children around the house, Kelsey and her husband enjoy running, golfing and planning activities with friends and family.
