About Sarah M.
Sarah is passionate about using proven strategies to help business owners create and grow strong businesses that balance purpose and profit. She challenges successful entrepreneurs to build more sustainable businesses and is a strong advocate for B Corp certification.
Prior to joining Carson Group Coaching in 2016, she spent over a decade at a $750 million hybrid RIA firm in Kansas City, with successive roles, including Chief Operations Officer. Her tenure as COO involved overseeing strategic projects and managing a team of internal stakeholders in the areas of technology, client service, financial planning, and back-office roles such as trading and new business coordination. Her key accomplishments at the firm include managing the launch and ensuing growth of the independent RIA; overseeing the implementation of new technology platforms including CRM, financial planning, client portal, and PAS software systems; and developing a national training business for financial advisors.
Sarah earned her Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Washburn University and continued her financial education by completing the CFP Certification Professional Education program through the College for Financial Planning. She has designations as an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation (ICF), Certified Professional Coach, and Certified Business Coach. She also has a Certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility through the University of Colorado, Leeds School of Business
Sarah and her husband, Brandon, live in Kansas City with their four-legged children. Away from work, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family (including her amazing niece and nephews), exploring the outdoors, and training Muay Thai.
