Innovations from CES 2025

The 2025 Consumer Electronics Show (“CES”) took place this past week. To say AI-focused products stole the spotlight would be an understatement – AI practically was the show. Leading the charge was Nvidia, with CEO Jensen Huang opening the conference to preview the company’s latest advancements. Other companies, such as Delta Airlines, displayed their AI ambitions, while visionary products like Withings’ OMNIA 360 made their debut.

Nvidia’s newest releases continue to push the boundaries of AI capabilities. Blackwell-wielding Jensen Huang (pictured below) discussed key details of the performance of their coming data center chip, specifically that Blackwell can deliver up to 3x the performance compared to the current chip generation. This leap suggests that the large language models already integrated into mainstream applications are about to become even more powerful.

Nvidia is powering forward in software advances as well. While the company generates substantially all of its revenue from the sale of hardware, it is advancing its offerings in Agentic AI—software capable of autonomous action. One of the early breakthroughs Nvidia has embraced is the use of AI to enhance software engineering efficiency. Mr. Huang went so far as to even say “every software engineer at Nvidia has to utilize AI assistants next year. That’s just a mandate…otherwise they’re not coding fast enough.” With both hardware and software advancements on full display at CES, Nvidia remains a driving force in AI innovation.

Delta Airlines previewed their Delta Concierge, an AI-powered digital tool bringing advanced capabilities to the company’s mobile phone app. The new concierge offering will utilize GenAI to provide travelers with personalized prompts about SkyMiles status, ID requirements, and visa restrictions. Additionally, Delta customers who frequent Uber may soon enjoy a more seamless travel experience. The two companies inked a partnership which allows SkyMiles to be earned on Uber rides booked through the app. Fliers can also choose to have the app automatically book an Uber upon arrival at their destination (pictured below). Delta is aiming to make travel more seamless than ever.

Withings revealed OMNIA 360, described as “a central health hub.” OMNIA is designed to gather data from wearables, such as smart watches and smart scales, to consolidate all health metrics in one place. Withings envisions that advanced AI-powered sensors will gather once-isolated health markers to better analyze and predict personal health. OMNIA also features an AI assistant to help users interpret and act on health data. While the device’s long-term impact remains to be seen, its debut at CES exemplifies the event’s role in pushing technological boundaries.

Nvidia was the star of CES 2025. Its cutting-edge hardware remains a cornerstone of today’s AI advancements, and the company’s confidence in further innovation is promising. This progress is welcome news for companies like Delta and Withings, who are harnessing AI to elevate their products and services. 2025 is shaping up to be a landmark year for AI-driven consumer product launches.
